The Newborn Experience

 

Newborn sessions are best enjoyed within the first three weeks of your baby’s life, with the ideal time being between 4–20 days old.

During these early days, babies are naturally sleepy, curled up and content, making it the perfect time to capture all those tiny details that change far too quickly.



Your newborn session is designed to be a calm, relaxed and memorable experience, giving you the chance to slow down, soak in those precious early moments and create beautiful images that you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

 

What to expect


Every session is completely led by your baby, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling whenever needed.

My style is simple, soft and timeless, using neutral tones and minimal props to keep the focus exactly where it should be — on your little one and your family.


From your first enquiry through to receiving your finished images, I aim to make the entire experience feel effortless.

Following your session, I carefully select and professionally edit the very best images, creating a beautiful gallery filled with memories of this incredibly special chapter in your family’s story.

Pricing and Investment




To secure your Newborn session I charge a non-refundable session fee of £100. 

This is deducted off your final chosen package. Remainder of your chosen package is due on the day of your session.


You are welcome to purchase individual extra images once you have viewed your gallery.

HOW THE PROCESS WORKS

 

 

STEP 1

Fill out my contact form with your due date. I will get back to you within 24 hours with my availability.

STEP 2

 

Secure your session

The non-refundable session fee is required to secure your date. I will then pencil your due date in my diary and send you a questionnaire and welcome guide with everything you need to prepare for your session.

STEP 3

 

The Photoshoot

Once your baby has safely arrived, send me a message and we will schedule your session (normally 4-14 days after). The session will be held in my cosy home studio in Castle Bromwich.

STEP 4

 

Delivering photos

2 weeks after your session, you'll receive your private online viewing gallery, where you can select your favourite images from your chosen collection.

You can then choose to upgrade your packages if you wanted more images.

Where do sessions the take place?


Sessions take place at my cosy Home studio in Castle Bromwich.

 

 

When is the best time to book?


You can pre-book your session in as soon as you have had your 12 week scan. I will then pencil your due date into my diary and when little one arrives we can schedule your session (usually 4-14 days after).

Occasionally, I will have last minute newborn sessions available so if you think you have left it 'too late' to book then please do contact me and I will try my best to accommodate.

How do we book a session with you?


You can fill out the contact form with a few details about yourself, the type of session you’re looking for, and any dates or locations you already have in mind. I’ll get back to you with availability, pricing, and the next steps from there.

 

How do we prepare for the session?


Once your session has been confirmed you'll receive a welcome guide with all information on to help the session run smoothly, including feeding, timing, what to wear and what to bring. This will also be re-sent to you once your baby has arrived and we have scheduled the exact date for your session.

Is my baby safe during the session?


Absolutely, Your baby's safety is always my highest priority. Every pose and setup is done gently and slowly, following your baby's natural comfort and movement. The studio is kept warm, sanitised clean, and prepared with newborn-safe props and materials to ensure a calm, secure environment.

I am fully trained in health and safety within Newborn photography.

Can i bring my children to the photoshoot?


Yes of course! I encourage siblings and parents to be involved.

I always to sibling and family images first as children can be bored easily if they are waiting around for a long period of time.

How long does the session last?


Newborn sessions are usually around 3 hours long. Allowing plenty of time for feeding, nappy changes, settling and comforting breaks. Newborn sessions are 100% baby-led!
